ETHR is an independent civil society organisation founded in Istanbul in 2019 to document, report and make visible the human rights violations taking place in East Turkistan.
Who We Are
ETHR was founded in Istanbul in 2019, when lawyers, academics and diaspora representatives came together. Our aim was to establish what is happening in East Turkistan through reliable data and to make it visible to the world public.
Today, with a team conducting research in five languages, we publish reports, policy briefs and indexes, and turn our findings into advocacy across a broad network reaching from UN mechanisms to the national press.
